The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) is seeking to add a full-time BC/BE Dermatologist to our Dermatology Department. As a Dermatologist at the Phoenix VA, you will routinely provide outpatient care, both as a primary provider as well as in a consultative role. We have an Academic Affiliation with the University of Arizona Phoenix College of Medicine, so you will also be able to educate fellows, residents, and medical students. Being a physician at the VA allows you to utilize your skill set to help America s Veterans and not have to worry about insurance companies, RVUs, or other headaches that can come with practicing medicine.Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Compensation and Benefits:Pay: Competitive salary (up to $400,000 annually) + annual performance bonus + regular salary increases.Paid-Time Off: 50 - 55 days of annual paid-time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).Recruitment Incentives: Sign-On incentive may be authorized for highly qualified applicants.Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401k with up to 5% in contributions by VA.Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement.Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.Employment Requirements:Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory.
