About the Position:
Do you have experience or looking to gain experience in the food and beverage industry? If so, this is the position for you! Great for someone just starting out in their journey in the cooking profession. Training and mentorship will be provided to help those looking to join the fun career of food & beverage/Hospitality!
Essential Functions:

• Perform opening and closing kitchen duties
• Maintain a working par of prepped items
• Prepare and execute a specific bar and grill type menu to Executive Chef's specifications
• Assisting with stocking and setting kitchen station
• Washing/cleaning kitchen and cooking utensils throughout shift
• Operate/use kitchen equipment including fryer, flat top, charbroiler, gas stove, and others
• Must put all inventory load away correctly using FIFO when loads arrive
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Must be able to effectively and professionally interact with co-workers and guests
• Must be able to work flexible schedule that can include days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ensuring kitchen operations procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulationsBenefits: Eligibility after 60-90 days.

    Requirements:Education/Experience Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 1 year as line cook and/or equivalent education preferred but not required, full training available
    • Knowledge of local and state laws regarding food service
    • Knowledge of areas of kitchen to include; prep, saut--, fryer, and cold stationSpecific Skills Required:
      • Food Handlers Permit current or attain one within 2 weeks of employment
      • Self-motivated/ Team Player
      • Detail Oriented
      • Basic cooking skills: knife work, saut--, grill, broiler, fry, dish machine and meat slicerPhysical Requirements:
        • Must be able to lift and or push up to 50lbs, move, stand, walk, traverse, crouch/stoop, kneel, repetitive hand/wrist motion, reach, bend, and see.
        • Must be able to recognize, distinguish, and convey information.
