• Shift 1 - Varying days 2nd Shift 1:00pm to 11:00pm (45.5 hours full time)Phoenix Children's Hospital Employment Perks:

      • You do routine patrols of the interior and exterior of the Hospital.
      • You maintain required standards of proficiency for your assigned canine through required training.
      • You provide reliable transportation to and from work and the veterinarian at any time such care and treatment is required.
      • You prepare and submit all reports and logs pertinent to their daily, weekly, and monthly activities and trainings to Security Leadership.
      • You perform all functions according to the established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, canine training certification, as well as applicable professional standards.
      • Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
      • You provide rapid response in critical situations.
      • You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.Your background:
        • Minimum 2 years of full time professional K9 Handler experience
        • Must have adequate housing ie. home with a backyard
        • Must have reliable transportation for assigned K9
        • Current Arizona Resident
        • A basic physical fitness test will be conducted to ensure candidates are physically fit to perform duties as a K9 Handler
        • You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
        • You're able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
